-----------------------What is Braille?
Braille is a tactile reading and writing system designed for individuals with visual impairments. It utilizes raised dots to represent letters of the alphabet, numbers, punctuation marks, and special symbols. The system was developed by Louis Braille, a Frenchman who lost his sight in childhood and created a code for the French alphabet. Each character in Braille consists of rectangular cells containing tiny raised dots, with the number and arrangement of dots distinguishing one character from another.
-----------------------What is Braille Academy?
Braille Academy is an educational tool developed to assist individuals who are interested in learning the Braille system. The app follows two key teaching concepts: gradual introduction and focused repetition. The learning material is organized into chapters and levels to facilitate efficient learning and training. Braille Academy can also be beneficial for those looking to enhance memory skills, regardless of their specific interest in Braille.
-----------------------Levels and Challenges
In Braille Academy, levels serve to introduce new characters with some repetition, while challenges test your knowledge of previously learned material. During a level, you can access tips by clicking the INFO button on the left and view the correct answers using the hint button on the right. Hints are unlimited and provided free of charge. In a challenge, the hint button is disabled, and you must make fewer than 3 mistakes to successfully complete it.
In conclusion, I wish you success and enjoyment in your journey to learn Braille!
